Léda Szemerédi - 3D modelling
We will build up a wire based papier mache figure from scratch. I will use up household rubbish such as aluminium foil, cling film, cardboards, newspapers and possibly tiny objects that would be thrown away, like plastic cups, corks etc.
I hope the weather will help us to dry out our objects during the break and we can paint them at least partially in the second part of the session.
For the Tataki Zome we need to collect grass, leaves, flowers/ petals in the park and then we’ll use prepared pieces of fabrics to try the technique. I’ll explain how to prepare fabrics with mordants to gain the best colour results.
Materials being used that you may wish to bring with you to join in:
I will bring newspapers, cardboards, tiny objects, used but clean clingfilm, aluminium foil, my pliers, scissors, paint and brushes but everyone can bring their own too to repurpose. Matt, thin daily news like Echo or Metro is good for covering, shiny ones and cardboards useful as filling, building the shape up, used but cleaned aluminium foils-cling film also suitable. Visitors can bring plant particles (leaves, petals, wild or any flowers and kinds of grass) from their garden they would like to print with
I will bring prepared pieces of fabrics, printable flowers, grass, leaves and pebbles for the botanical printing
